John Robinson's Inspection Group was an excellent choice for me. Miguel did the first inspection and at the end walked us through and pointed out the issues raising concern. But (Realtors Note:) he was not one to kill a sale. He explained what to look for in the way of cracks that were considered "normal " in SoCal and what he didn't want to see! As he couldn't access some areas due to them being locked and full of furniture, Matt returned ( for an additional fee) and checked those areas out. By then we had read the clearly written report that color coded items according to severity of concern and in addition to explaining his findings he also explained some findings noted in the report . I am a former realtor and this was the best written report I have ever seen.

The inspector, Curtis, that came to the home we are in the process of buying he was extremely friendly from the start. We appreciated his attention to detail. Curtis would check parts of the house and come back and let us know what he saw that concerned him. He explained everything very well and was very open to answering questions. This is my second experience with John Robinson's inspection group and I still highly recommend them!

Where do I even begin?!
I'm am thoroughly impressed by the knowledge base, attention to detail, and ability to communicate from our Inspection Expert: Chad.

The home that we had inspected was built around 1966 and although it was updated and remodeled, there were many things to pay extra attention to.
Having someone that was willing to take the extra time and educate us while performing the inspection helped us better understand the final report that he submitted.

I took notes and there were many instances that I saw Chad had input a note on the final report, to help me better explain something because I inquired about it, that matched with the personal notes I took. This gave an extra peace of mind.

Chad was able to give recommendations and cleared up any updates to the house with the owner to verify any unknowns.

Not only was he good at his job, he was personable and went the extra mile.
Customer service like this is what makes the difference in highly competitive markets with little to no initial foreseeable differentiation of product.
This is why I will recommend and continue to use this company, the inspection experts are the face of the company and they did good with this hire, I'll assume the same with their others!

I have referred John Robinson out to many clients. John has done an amazing job of building a top notch team from Jade, who runs the office, to the inspectors he hires and trains.

My favorite inspector, Matt Rasmussen, goes above and beyond. He shows up on time, is well spoken, patient, easy to understand and extremely knowledgeable. After Matt completes his inspection he will walk you through the home and point out the items he found. If you are unable to attend the inspection Matt will call to provide you details of issue or you can call him. Matt is always available to answer questions for you and he is able to explain things to those both knowledgeable in construction/home repairs and those who are first time home buyers with little to no knowledge construction/home repairs.

The inspections are extremely thorough that include photos, scope of work for each section of the report, severity of issues. They use infrared to check moisture and will also include videos of issues when relevant. The reports are next day but sometimes even the same day as the inspections. The reports can range in length, 70 to 110+ pages depending on number of issues) and are extremely thorough. The web interface they use for sharing their reports is excellent.

I can't tell you how many times I have seen inspections provided by sellers that were very limited however to an untrained buyer they think they don't need to do their own inspections and sometimes their agents either don't recommend they do so or don't explain the lack of completeness of the sellers inspections. My buyers have never been anything but grateful for using John Robinson. Their inspections are night and day above many other inspections companies. If you are a buyer, this is most likely the most money you will spend on any one purchase in your life, getting a thorough report so you can know the true condition of the home is well worth it. I have saved my clients $1000's sometimes $10,000's in credits based off inspections from John Robinson's team!

For sellers, using John Robinsons thorough inspections can also be a benefit. If you provide a thorough report and have the buyers sign it with any purchase agreement then it can help you avoid buyers later finding issues and wanting credit or repairs for them.

I had a home inspection conducted by Curtis Kelley. He was professional, worked neatly, and was a pleasant to talk to. He spent a good amount of time in each section of the home. He was actively taking notes and pictures. And also pointing out the issues and even things that weren't an issue. He had all the right tools to test and measure. The final paper report was thorough and detailed with pictures and narratives. The report was easy to understand, as it was broken down in categories of the home, and then further highlighted for areas of safety concerns or needs attention. The report was top notch. The company was on point with communication via email in regards to the appointment, and even after the appointment. The customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend this company, and Curtis to do your next home inspection. They will be there for you every step of the way!!!
