About Our Inspection Company
I’m John Robinson, President of John Robinson’s Inspection Group. More than a decade ago, my wife and I purchased our first home. As a quality assurance inspector and aviation electrician in the United States Marine Corps for more than 10 years, I could appreciate how vital that home inspector’s service was. I wanted to be that man. At that moment I decided to learn everything I could about home inspections and how to perform them thoroughly. I immediately enrolled and graduated from several home inspection schools and courses to include the #1 home inspections training institute in America, Inspection Training Associates. I worked hard putting my meticulousness and eye for detail to good use making sure that people’s homes were ready for them. Since 1999, I’ve worked for other inspection companies, but none of them offered the kind of comfort that I wanted to provide for my clients.
That’s why I created John Robinson’s Inspection Group. My team of inspectors and I strive to perform thorough inspections that empower our clients to make sound decisions.
As certified members of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, our company has completed well over 12,000 home inspections. Today, because of our extensive knowledge, experience, dependability and excellent customer service, we are able to provide our clients with the kind of homegrown personal attention that I appreciated so much when I first bought my first home.

Curtis Kelley
Curtis Kelley has been providing exceptional inspections with JRIG for 4 years. He is the Quality Assurance Manager for JRIG. Curtis obtained his BS degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from SDSU. After his degree, he practiced real estate for 3 years. He later became a home and auto claims adjuster for 7 years. With a background in real estate, Curtis understands the delicate nature of the realtor’s fiduciary duty. He also has a heightened attention to detail after his time as a claim’s adjuster. As an inspector; he values informing the client without causing alarm. In his free time, Curtis enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children; enjoying outdoor sports as well as competitive BMX tournaments
Natasha Thompson
Natasha Thompson has been with John Robinson’s Inspection Group for 2 years. She considers herself a “Jill” of all trades. Whether it be building a tiny home in her backyard or creating a new piece of furniture out of an old piece of wood, she loves working with her hands is not afraid to get a little dirty in the process. Her work background includes working as a prop master’s in television production, building management, hospitality, and even painting and remodeling houses.
When she isn’t busy inspecting homes, she loves spending time outside with her family and finding new projects to dive into.
Chris McNally
Chris is the newest member of the JRIG team! Chris grew up in Japan for 19 years where he started his career in Food & Beverage management. During this time, he managed a 5 Diamond resort and was responsible for multiple departments and employees. Chris also spent time as a framer assisting in building structures and homes in Japan and the U.S. Housing structures and architecture were always fascinating to Chris which encouraged his decision to pursue home inspections full time. While working in the Food and Beverage field, Chris honed in on his ability to pay close attention to detail. He adopted the philosophy that details, and seemingly small things matter. He also highly values customer service. He constantly strives to make sure the client feels heard and understood. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children.
Miguel Diaz
Miguel Diaz has over 15 years of construction experience and spent 4 years as a safety coordinator. After spending over a decade in the construction industry, Miguel has worked very hard to be highly organized and detail-oriented. Miguel understands the importance of effective listening skills and collaborative communication so that every client knows their concerns are being heard and addressed. When Miguel is not inspecting, he enjoys camping and taking his boat to the river with his wife and two children.
Matt Rasmussen
Matt Rasmussen worked in Northern California in construction and carpentry for over 15 years before moving to sunny San Diego. Once is San Diego, he spent several years working as a realtor. With his background in construction, he has a keen eye for detail and extensive building knowledge. Matt is aware of the delicate nature of a real estate transaction due to his time as a real estate agent and works to make sure every inspection is informative but not alarming. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, watching sports and spending time with his wife and two children.
